Information About Boracay Island We Need to Know.
Boracay Island an island located in the western visayas with a total land area of 105 Square kilometers has been considered as one of the tourist spots in the Philippines. It’s main tourism is the white fine sand beaches. Boracay has three barangay namely the Balabag, Yapac and Manoc manoc. The famous beaches serves as the Primary tourism of Boracay.
The two famous beaches serves as Primary tourism, for Boracay, is the the White beach and the Bulabog beach. These two beaches is opposite to each other as per location. White beach faces West ward while the Bulabog Beach faces eastward.
The White Beach is the main tourism beach which is about four kilometer long and where tourism business , resorts, hotels, lodging houses, restaurant can be found.. The most visited beach of Boracay which is divided by name station 1,2,3
The other popular beach is the Bulabog beach, across the white beach. This is known as the Activity beach. Where the Windsurfing and Kiteboarding can be found
Boracay’s weather has two seasons the Amihan season, which starts from October to May and the Habagat season which starts at. July until the remaining of the year. The habagat season is with frequent rainfall and tropical storm usually occur in this season, and its wind comes from the west.
Getting There.
The two airport that serves as the main entry for Boracay Island is the Caticlan Airport and the Kalibo airport.
Of those two, Caticlan Airport has the advantage as it is just near & just a 20 minutes ride to the Cagban Jetty Port.
Cagban Jetty Port is the the main entry point in going of Boracay Island. You have to ride a motor Banca in this port to cross to the beautiful Boracay Island. Travel time for the motor boat to cross to the boracay island is just 15 minutes .
Kalibo’s Airport is about 2 hours ride to the Caticlan area where the Cagban jetty port can be found. So if you arrive in Kalibo airport you need to travel by bus to Caticlan Area for the Cagban Jetty Port.
Things to do/Visit while in boracay
- Strolling around the island. Take a stroll in the island and experience the sea breeze while walking on the beachfront round the island . Motorbike is also available if you want to tour the whole island. On your strolling don’t forget to visit the Willy’s Rock, one of the must see in boracay Island
- Island & Caves Hopping – Hop In from island to Island that surrounds Boracay. Price starts at P1500/boat good for 5 people. - Sunset Sailing – Watch the breathtaking sunset in Boracay while riding the paraw (local sailboat). Price starts at P1400/boat good for 5 people.
- Parasailing – Watch the whole view of the island while you’re on top in the air. Price starts at Php 2,500 per pax.
- Massage in the Beach – Try to relax your muscles with a massage provided in the beachfront. Price starts @ P500.00
