Medellin’s Bamboo Forest the New Tourist Destination.
MEDELLIN a 2nd class coastal Municipality located in the Northern part of the province of Cebu. It is 119 kilometres (74 mi) north from Cebu City. Just a 3 to 4 hours travel from Cebu City, this town had been labeled as the “sugar bowl of Cebu” due to the presence of a vast sugarcane fields in the town. Medellin town is famous for its “Funtastic Island” in Gibitngil a favorite tourist destination.
Medellin Town has also developed another tourist destination the Bamboo Forest. Bamboo Forest located in Barangay Luy-a Medellin besides a sugarcane plantation, just a 3 hours rides from Cebu City.

Bamboo Forest theme is quite like of Kyoto Japan’s bamboo forest and K-Drama vibes altogether.
The place still undeveloped but already has a beautiful pathway with bamboo trees nicely line up.
The whole place has marvelous bamboo scenery that people like to take pictures with it as a background.
With just only a minimal entrance fee you can spend your whole day capturing pictures of its marvelous bamboo scenery.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Exact Address: Brgy. Luy-a, Medellin, Northern Cebu
BY BUS: Ride a bus or v-hire from North Bus Terminal going to Kawit, Medellin. Estimated travel time is 3-4 hours. Ask to be dropped off at the town proper. Once you are out of the bus look for a tricycle and tell the driver to take you to the Bamboo Forest. Bus fare is P180 per person, v-hire is P170 per person.

• Entrance Fee: P20 per head
• Costume rental: P100 per outfit for one-time use (this will then be washed every after use)
BUSINESS HOUR:
Weekdays: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Weekend: 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
